Dr. Sujayalakshmi Devarayasamudram is an associate professor on tenure track in the Department of Nursing at NCCU. With over 45 years of teaching experience, Dr. Devarayasamudram has taught students from distinct levels and at various locations across the globe. In India, she worked at Government College of Nursing Hyderabad, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. She also worked at St. John’s College of Nursing, Bengaluru, Karnataka and Muscat Nursing Institute, Sultanate of Oman.

Since 2009, she has been working in NCCU’s Department of Nursing, teaching various courses for traditional, second-degree nursing students, and RN to BSN nursing students.

Dr. Devarayasamudram is very enthusiastic about community service projects that focus on HIV/AIDS, homelessness, refugee families, women’s empowerment, elder care, mental health, and hunger prevention projects.
